Chris has been working in the restaurant industry since 1999. After graduating from the College of Charleston in 2002 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Studio Art, he spent three years honing his customer service skills before switching to management in 2005.
In 2006, Chris found his true passion: beer. He worked by lobbying to state officials to pass the ‘Pop the cap’
initiative to raise the alcohol limit in the state, establishing what has become a growing field of craft beer in South Carolina. After passing the Cicerone certified beer server test in 2011, Chris focused his career on learning about beer and educating others about beer. Chris has spent the last five years working exclusively in breweries and
bars in his adopted hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, studying and refining his palate and skills in order to become a true expert in the field.
